Dejima is a small island in Nagasaki. It was made in Edo-period, and connected to mainland of Japan with small bridge. While Japan closed the country, the trades with foreign countries were only allowed in Dejima. Now in 21st century, using the metapher of Dejima, many companies are making “dejima-team”. They are small teams separated from main team, aiming at making innovations.
We invited dejima teams all around Japan to Dejima, and produced the first ever Dejima-team summit in Dejima. 30 companies gathered, and shared their projects and experiences each other. They learned the history of Dejima, and got many inspirations for their business as well.
