Based on Tenri City’s educational vision, a new education reform project has begun.
The main question is simple but challenging:
How can public education create classes that are enjoyable every day, even when students all learn at different levels and speeds?
Teachers themselves are taking the lead, and an unprecedented reform is now underway.
We are supporting the project together with Yururi, director of the Institute of Contemporary Education Research at Showa Women's University.
For the project logo, we asked artist boojil to create a special design.
The logo was inspired by her project “only one name,” which expresses the feelings and wishes behind children’s names through emoji-like symbols.
For this project, teachers from Tenri City shared the ideas, feelings, and images they want to bring into joyful classrooms, and these elements were woven into the logo design.
We will continue to share updates as the project develops.
